If you are thinking of jetting away this summer, but don’t quite know where to yet, stop and have a little scroll through my hand-picked list of the most magnificent Airbnb rentals to escape to this year. Whether it is a city break, a beach laze or a scenic mountain retreat; my Airbnb list has it all. I guarantee it will have you itching to pack your bags and fly off into a new adventure in no time.

When it comes to holiday planning we can all get a little overwhelmed and stressed – there is just so much choice and how to pick the good from the bad? We are all quite good at choosing where we want to go but where we want to stay is another story. Accommodation is so important. Most of us will have experienced that holiday where our hotel ruined our visit or was just so expensive it left us struggling for the rest of the trip. With holidays being so precious these days, that is a nightmare. So why not try something different this year? Ditch the traditional hotel route and opt for an Airbnb!

Airbnb has revolutionised the way the world can travel and from my personal experience it is brilliant. Anyone who hasn’t used it yet, should definitely give it a try. For those of you who do not know about Airbnb: It is an app, founded in 2008, that works on a host-guest basis. It allows users (hosts) to rent out their homes or part of their homes to other users (guests) for a desired period. Both will rate each other in return, which creates a very open and transparent environment. With over 3 000 000 hosts worldwide it has an expansive list of unique rentals, full of hidden gems and at various prices. You can find everything from a single room within a house to huge mansions and castles. The possibilities are endless!

Within those many rentals, however, there are some truly magnificent ones that shine above the rest and can give you that gorgeous holiday break we all dream off without breaking the bank too much. To make it a little easier and less time-consuming for you, I have outlined my most favourite ones below. So what are you waiting for? If sleeping in a giant sea shell whilst listening to the sound of crashing waves sounds as amazing to you as it does to me, check this Airbnb out. It sleeps 4 people at £249 per night.
